VAL’s Windham County Learning Center is thrilled to host an Open House on Wednesday, September 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at their new location, 113 Technology Drive in Brattleboro. This event is a great opportunity for the community, especially local businesses and future students, to see the positive impact of adult education in Windham County.
This Open House is a prime opportunity for business leaders to meet their future workforce and for prospective students to see how we can prepare them for a new career. Our students are actively pursuing their high school diploma, GED, and English language skills, as well as preparing for college and careers.
Attendees can tour the facility and visit interactive stations showcasing student projects and lessons in subjects like math, science, and digital literacy. We may even have the new driving simulators available to try! We’ll have games for children, along with farmer’s market goodies and homemade finger foods for everyone to enjoy.
Local legislators have also been invited to witness firsthand the positive impact of the VAL program. The event will feature special guests from Comcast, who will be recognized for their generous donation that supported our Digital Literacy class. A representative will be on hand to share a few words about the importance of these skills in today’s world.
