At VAL, our team’s unique experiences and passions shape the way we support adult learners every day. In this new staff Q&A, we get to meet another valued team member, learning more about the perspective they bring to their work and a few fun details that make them who they are.

Name: Jennifer

Role at VAL: Human Resources and Administrative Coordinator

Where were you born? Burlington, Vermont

What is your educational background? I have an Associate’s from Champlain College.

Interesting past job? I worked on a fajita cart on Church Street Marketplace in Burlington during my high school summers.

What is a unique hobby or interest you have? I enjoy building miniatures and have 5 completed, and am currently working on my 6th, which is a moody library.

Last book you read? Craven Manor by Darcy Coates

How do you enjoy spending your free time? I love spending time with my family, reading, creating designs for my Etsy shop, building miniatures, and taking many weekend trips to Maine to visit my oldest daughter.

How long have you worked at VAL? This is my first week!
