Where were you born? Pownal, VT
What is your educational background? Bachelor’s in Education, History, and Sociology from Johnson State. I started teaching as a first-grade special educator, then On Point for SVSU (program for ED students separated from gen pop), work-based learning coordinator/CDOS specialist at a residential special ed school, AEL Program Manager for The Tutorial Center, and now VAL’s Regional Director for Windham County.
Interesting past job? Lumberjack and stray voltage technician are pretty unique, but I’ve done everything under the sun.
What is a unique hobby or interest you have? I play and coach rugby.
Last book you read? A Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.
How do you enjoy spending your free time? Outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc. Going to concerts. Traveling. Movies, TV, and reading when feeling inactive and just want to lounge.
How long have you worked for VAL? As I write this, I’m on my third day.
