Vermont Adult Learning helps adult learners, ages 16 and older, acquire reading, writing, math, and computer skills to earn high school diplomas/GEDs. We teach English Language Learners skills to advance educationally and at work. We engage in workforce development. Our services are offered at no cost and are available in person and online. Note for in-person learning: We no longer require masks in our learning centers. Anyone at high risk or wishing to continue wearing a mask for other reasons is welcome to do so. We will continue to have masks available in our centers for those who need them.

Pride Month Reflection on Student and Educator Rights (6/11/2024) - Did you know it is not uncommon for older high school students to leave the traditional school system due to bullying or harassment, unaddressed learning difficulties, and/or an increased need for social/emotional support? LGBTQ+ students are no exception, often navigating both overt forms of bullying and more insidious microaggressions from others such as intentionally using one's incorrect pronoun (misgendering) or name (deadnaming). Fitness Reflections: How VAL Students Benefit from Physical Education (5/28/2024) - Adult learners are no exception when it comes to getting those PhysEd credits!
